Problem *Update* –
Hi my v9 ps2 will not eject the tray or read any game, you may have read this in my last post.
heres what happened
I did a romeo mod on a v9 ps2 it has no modchip in it, I turned on the ps2 it worked then I added a bit more solder to the point and turned on the console again and this time when I push th red button I see the blue eject buton for less than 1 sec and then goes back to red.
netmech, crans, spedmetal or anyone else please help thanks.
Also is there an alt point for the romeo mod on a v9 as I will try another point and see if it works.
therther is alt point use any 5v sorce.. same leg as the power for the duo 2 also remove all solder on noraml romeo point you might be grounding that point out..
Can someone show me an alt 5v source for a v9 please ? Also while I was installing the duo2se modchip my soldering iron was set to 30watt(I did not realize) and i tried to solder point S on the motherboard and it came off.. Can you also show me an alt point for that thanks.
have you got your self a multimeter yet becouse your lost with out one and this will help you find alt points .
I got the ps2 working BUT now the only problem is that when i insert a disc the game will not load it makes messed up sounds (it does not spin) but the tray now ejects.
and who helped you.....??
just common sense you need one for checking your install it,s part of your tools for checking and repairing .
he does not need a multimeter becuase he can always come here for help.
