Please Help! v1 Tray won't eject –
I wasn't able to get the Magic 3 to work on my console and therefore I removed the chip. However, the machine would boot now but I can't get the tray to eject. The blue light remains ON all the time but I could hear a 1-second loading sound from the DVD-ROM when the machine is starting up (The laser light remains on for less than a second). I tried manually putting in an original game but it says "No Data" from the browser screen. Looks like the PS2 is not talking to the DVD-ROM anymore.
Any idea on what I was doing wrong?
sounds like a break in the reset cable or a solder bridge on the bios connections.
most likely a solder bridge on the cd/dvd contoller. Use a magnifying glass to find it. Also check for possible solder splash anywhere you was soldering
What bios ,010,020? Look to BA5815 ,this is the place to this problem.
