Please help me identify 2x old mod chips
Please help me identify 2x old mod chips –
08-23-2010,03:53 AM
Greetings
I have a very old ps2 japanese V8 version thats using a apple 2 chip (the jap v8 cant read dvdrs)
I have these 2 mod chips lying around for a long time but I am unsure what model they are, it would be great if someone can kindly help me identify them before I change my apple 2 chip.
Ive been doing a lot of research Im guessing the red chip is Magic V 50k and the other one is either a Fake or a Messiah 2 (the chip says ubicom)
Any Help is much appreciated, Thank You.

thank you for your reply
The red one should be the magic v 50k which only compatible with the v9 and not the v8 that I currently have which means i cant be using that chip.
Hopefully this picture is a little better than the previous one.

please dont say that you have already been extremely helpful, thank you!
I found some info on a german website, i think the ubicom one might be a Duo 2.
But i cant seem to find a diagram for the green chip, I think its a fake but not sure which model.
