    Hey guys,
    I have modded a couple of v12 with a ripper 3.1 -> no problem
    No I did 2 v9's and they play games ok. Problem is that when I insert a dvdr movie it looks like it's about to start the movie, but then the screen stays black. when I insert a original movie, it boots ok. When I disable the modchip dvdr movies works.
    Doesn't seem to me this could have to with a incorrect install.

    I´ve had the same problem with an v10 and my solution was.
    1. check all soldernig points
    2.and if all soldering points are correct
    3. Move the chip to another place (I´ve moved mine for about 10 mm from it´s org. place wich was as ripper suggested.)
    4. now it plays dvdr,dvd,games and all with auto loading
