patching games?!

what games need to be patched?? cd games? dvd games??
ive been tryin to do the swap trick/pulley with the MM16 but its not working, is it because i need to patch the game?? what about if i got a no swap modchip would i need to patch then? because i thought u just do 1:1 copies for cd and dvd if u have a no swap modchip, thanks

At this time, not a single DVD game title imaged 1:1 to DVD-R/DVD+R requires any patching, so if you install a no-swap mod (Messiah2, Magic2/3, XO-2, Apple), then your patching days are basically over, along with that silly pulley trick. The same holds true for a CD title to CD-R.
