PAL v3 + Messiah problem
PAL v3 + Messiah problem –
I just installed a messiah on a PAL v3.
I have the following symptoms:
When turned on , the PS2 doesn't show any video/audio (you can see an electrical inteference on the TV for a split sec). the eject button doesn't function and its light doesn't work too. When I turn the PS2 on by pressing eject, the reset is blinking in green, and turn the PS2 on and off.
I checked the all the fuses and they were fine. no shorts on the bios/controller pins and all prooved as conductive. I searched for shards/splinters but none were found too.
The mobo is gh006 no-gap bios (the points are opposite...)
does anyone has a clue of what can be done more?
dude, didn't u read online that v3's are a handful when ur installin a messiah into 'em? ehh...
i think Charlie might be able to help u, many people are having these problems, no video, audio, i personally think its a bios or electrical problem on the main board...
but what do i know? i'm a 13 year old boy.
as i said, look into the other threads and ask a pro like charlie.
it is probably my 20th v3 I'm installing.....
I need real help not proactive advices.
If you uninstall the chip does the ps2 work fine
yeah try uninstallin the chip, clean every trace of soldering or, ehh...
are u really Israeli?
I've had a similar problem on a ver3, I think it was due to a bridge on the cd/dvd controller points. I say "I think" because I couldn't see anything with a magnifying glass, but gave it a good going over with the desolder braid and happy days it was working again.
Test the Vcc and ground first to see if messiah is receiving the 3.3v ok.
See if any wire do not bridge any point on mboard, especially W point. Make sure u clean the soldering fluid and double-check the A to I points.
If nothing work, de-install and see if works....
fooniman, do you have any problem helping me because I'm Israeli??
