PAL V3 Mainboard Question
I accidently ****ed up a mod install on the mainboard (it was a spare ps2 nwywyz) and I was wondering out of interest if my idea could work.
Seeing that the Mainboard is a multi-layer PCB, thus the reason for soldering onto the legs of the CD/DVD Controller I bridged the pins accidently. On attempt to remove the solder to unbridge the pins I (most likely) overheated the end legs so that they were de-soldered off the board and pushed underneath the microprocessor.
My question is that IF i could get another chip (no replies plz on comments of that I cant get it that isnt the question) from radio spares etc would I not be able to desolder the entire chip and resolder the new one back on and it will still work?
I know it sounds tedious but would it be possible using specialised surface mount component soldering equipment to do this and get it functional, or even to straighten the legs and re-solder the microprocessor back into place?
All replies are welcome, thanks in advance for any tips and suggestions.
