I've just replaced a laser in a v12 pstwo and then installed a H20 modchip. From my testing, backups boot fin when booting from standby. However, nothing boots when booting from browser, just goes to RSOD. Furthermore, when an NTSC backup is booted, 90% of them will reach a stage in the bot process where the laser appears to want to read past the edge of the disc, causing loud clicking loading to halt.

I've since disconnected the Z wire, J and K. reconnected the cut track (re: K point), the 561Ohm resistor is still connected to the two 303Ohm tracking coil resistors.

This problem has me stumped. I'd love some input on it. Thanks.

I would check the smd's where you applied the summ0ne fix as these are real sensitive to heat and are easily damaged. i've fitted over 50 H20 mods and haven't had any problems with them to be honest. Also make sure all your points are cleaned once you have finished soldering them.
