a mate of mine lent me his ps2 last night along along with some games... he's british, so it's a european ps2. i can get it working thru my vcr, but everything is in black and white. i gather this is due to problems between pal/ntsc. is there any way to see the colours on my tv?

If your tv only supports ntsc then you are kinda screwed. You would either have to buy a pal to ntsc converter or rip the games and patch them with a pal to ntsc patch and reburn.

Look it up on the web please. Plenty there and very expensive. Cheaper to buy a multi-system TV.
