PAL-NTSC memory card save
PAL-NTSC memory card save –
Hi all...I have a problem I have just got Suikoden 3 in its NTSC for the PS2 and I have the saved data from Suikoden 1&2 on the PSX but they are in PAL (if this makes any diffrence) and when I go to start a new game in Suikoden 3 and go to load the data from the PS2 memory card it says there is no Suikoden 2 data (even tho I know there is and is saved after beating the final boss)
So what I guess I am asking you all is...do you think its something to do with the format of the saves (the ones I am useing being in PAL and the game being NTSC)
And if not is there some program where I can download and burn onto a disc to change around the format of my saves...?
thanks for your time all!
any help what so ever is welcome!
i dont think there is a "disc program" you can burn that will let you edit your saves. you would need to use a dexdrive or something to import your psx save on to pc and then change the region with a memcard editor.
since suikoden 1 and 2 are psx games, i would assume that they would use a psx memcard. maybe you need to use one of those..
Suikoden 1&2 are indeed psx games however if you transfer your saves from your psx memory card to a ps2 memory then you can load data from the old Suikoden's in the new Suikoden 3 for the ps2....as I am sure you know Bgnome that ps2 game's can not read or write to old psx memory cards.
All I want to know is it my PAL saves at fault ? due to Suikoden 3 being NTSC or does that not matter ? thanks
i am only familiar with regionalization in psx game saves, but i would assume this is also the same case in ps2.
