a friend of mine told me I can get some kind of cable for converting PAL to NTSC... Anyone that does this now, can you make some suggestions on ways to accomplish this?

    Can't be done without circuitry.

I don't care if it is a cable or a box... either will do, as long as it isn't huge... I have searched the web, but I can only find NTSC to PAL converters and not the other way around... anyone have a link?

I can't be bothered to find the link, but there are PAL to NTSC convertors in the US and they cost > $250.

This link will be useful if you prefer to buy a 'cheap' multi-system TV and might point off to a convertor.

ouch... $250 is steep... I like my tv, so I think I will just stick to NTSC games, or deal with the missing part of the screen.
