If your PS2 power supply is causing to much heat. Or if your power supply is broken all together there is away to make a cable to run your PS2 off your pc power supply. This makes your PS2 run alot cooler.

Things you need to do this are: Soldering irion, Solder, Wirer...I beleave i used 18 gage, electrical tape, male power connector for pc, and female connector for pc or the plastic peace off the power bored of the PS2 that connects the powerboard to PS2 motherboard (You will need to desolder this peace if you want to use it.)

To get started go to Radio Shack and get a pc power cable extension (pictured below) cut it in half so you have a male and a female end. Take the male end and remove the RED wirer, pin and all. You will not need it. Now your going to need the wirer. Not the one you removed. It helps to have two differnt colors. Make them as long as you want but make sure all 4 wirers are all the same length. I used red and green (red for hot 12 volts and green for ground). Solder the Red wirers to the yellow wire comming out of the male end. Then sold the Green wirers onto the black ones. Ones green wirer to one black wirer. Now where going to solder the the 2 red and 2 green wires to the female end or the PS2 plastic peace from the power supply. The female end has a red, black, black, and yellow wirer comming out of it. your going to solder the 2 red wires to the red and black wires on one side of the female end and the 2 green wires to the black and yellow wires on the othere side. The side with the 2 green wires is the gound they should go tords the CD/DVD drive. Check the leads from the the motherboard before doing this to make sure there the ground leads or you could fry the motherboard. If there not the 2 on the othere side should be the ground just turn the cable around when your done. once all of thats done tape the wires and plug every thing in and your done.

    "WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!
If you do this wrong you will fry your PS2"
