I have a Matrix Infinity (Green DOT) which I wan to install ona PS2 Slim. I don't have the PSTWO yet because i want to make sure I buy the right one.

Basicall I want to know is which version to stay away from if I don't want to have to deal with the "laser/diodes/summone/matrix fixes etc.." I just want to install the chip as normal and not deal with fixes. I know there are like versions 12-16 or something like that for the Slim ones but only a couple of versions require the fix and those are the ones I don't want to get..

    Anybody?

from what I have been reading from this forum and the web, Slim v12.2 and up does not required the laser fix. If you get the one that require the fix, only 2 resistor you need to deal with, 1 for tracking and the orther for focus.
Which is not bad at all

BTW, I just bought a slim V12.2 and it's not require the laser fix

Thanks... I wish it were that easy but after reading pages and pages and pages on this forum I have come to the conclusion that not many people know whats going on and the ones that know can't agree on what the fix should be, it seems that is more then just resistors otherwise everyone and there mama would not have created a different "fix" for it....

But thanks for the tip, it looks like anythin above 12.2 is the way to go
