omega modchip?

hey anyone heard of the omega modchip? My bro's friend installed a chip in my ps2 and gave a paper that said it was called OMEGA. But I searched online and found nothing about this. Anyone have a clue to what chip this can be?

To play DVD game (original and backup), all I have to do is press reset.
To play DVD movies (original and backup) i have to hold reset till the red light comes on. Then press reset again, making the green light appear, and reset a 2nd time when the blue light appears.
I have a v4 ps2.
