Hi... I modded ps2 before, but when i tried to mod my friend V7 system. It went well, but he brough it back cause he said he ripped the eject cable off. So its no problem, i fixed. But when it time to test it out, there were no power at all. First i thought it was the power supply, so i replace it and found out that wasn't it. Now the system got no power...

I took out the modchip, and samething. No power.

    QUESTION:
    1. How do i test if the system get power or not? maybe theres something wrong with the eject component.

    2. Is this fixable......CRY

    3. How do i use multimeter to test if anything is blown?

can any one help? Thanks in advace =)

No power at all??? Could be a few things.

There's a 125V 3.15A fuse on the power board... make sure it isn't blown.

I bet the power ribbon cable is still the problem. The console might be getting power, but if the POWER/EJECT buttons aren't working, you wouldn't know it. Check it again... maybe swap with another "known good" one.

And check all connections. Make sure the fan/power component is plugged in securely to the power board, which is sitting squarely on the mb's power pegs.

    Good luck.

You should calm down. Set your multimeter to 200ohms.

Here are all the fuses for the V7.

Check everyone of those. Make sure that the fuse on the power unit isn't blown.

I can almost %100 percent tell you it is the ps1 fuse. Look for that one, had one I repaired recently with the same problem.
