odd problem w/ v7 magic3.1 (only rare occurance)

Every time I boot a game it goes fine but ONCe in awhile booting from standby the blue light wont come on and I have to flip the switch on the back from on to off then back to on and it will be fine, other times it will just black screen and I do the same thing on the back.

flipping the switch fixes it for some reason.. Any idea what would be causing this?
