So I have a PS2 v7 and recently I had a Messiah 2 Pro 1.3 installed. About two weeks later I went away for a few days and I came back to find out the eject button wasn't working. Now everything else about the PS2 worked fine, it booted the backup of NCAA 2004 that was already in there, it just wouldn't eject. So I opened up the PS2 and did nothing, just opened it up and it started working again. Move to a couple of days ago; I leave for a few days, come back, same thing, eject not working. Open it up, and it works fine. Is it possibly the ribbon? If so, why does it work most of the time then crap out? Thanks...

possibly the ribbon, are you sure it's a m2 1.30??...some of the clones use a z point, and if the z point gets pinched by the case, it will create a short which keeps the eject point at ground which doesn't allow it to eject, so if it works open, and doesn't work with the case on, maybe it's a wire being pinched,

    that's just a thought,
    probably your ribbon cable

Else the station is feeling neglected and hates it when you go away and don't play with it!

Then to get you back it wont work until you open her up and fiddle for a while... then she likes you again and will again pop open to allow insertion...

pico996969: nah, it definitely wasn't a clone, so I guess it's just the ribbon cable. Oh well, I'll just get a new one.

ShadowKnyght: You know, I never thought of the ps2 in that way, maybe I should show it more loving
