NTSC v4 Magic 3 Problem w/ps2 cd-r's

Just installed a Magic 3 on my v4 ps2. It plays dvd movies, audio, orginal ps2, orginal ps1 and ps1 backups. I don't yet have a dvd burner, so i haven't tested dvd-r's. It will not play ps2 cd-r's. Could i have a wire or two off and everything else play? Should i forget about the cd-r's and just wait on my dvd burner?

Any help is appreciated.

yes check your wires even one wire cause cause ps2 backups not to boot

Would the length of the wires make a different?

this is not from wires Magic 3.1 doesn't booting all cdr games, it depends which kind of dvd rip is it.
