NTSC PS2 + Magic 3.1 Probs
NTSC PS2 + Magic 3.1 Probs –

Just installed a Magic 3.1 into a V5 NTSC PS2, swithched on and tried about 6 cd backups but only 3 of them worked, tried a dvd backup and that didn't work.
Then tried another CD backup, then the no data screen appeared and started flickering.
Reset console but when it came back on the screen was black but reset and eject lights are on and fan was still running and tray would eject and return. Have removed the chip and checked the fuses but still the same. Any advice please?
Have also checked the bios chip and found no bridges.
I also remember that on one of the games that i tried the Playstation2 logo appeared but was "messed up" game then continued to try and load but failed.

How many fuses should there be, could only find 13. Is there a P14 fuse?
Also this is a NTSC PS2 being used in the UK with a UK 240v power supply and to a PAL TV and using a RGB scart lead.
It was working and playing some backup games in colour but just went to black screen.
