noob in need of advice

hi im new to console modding and have a v4 ps2 which i want to fit a mod chip to and was wondering which is a good chip to go for that is a straight boot for back ups and that would still allow me to add a hdd and use hd loader or something simelar

they reatil at about $45 but from some members of this formum you can get the MI for about $31

i saw the dms4 se lite which is about $45 also is this chip any good or is it more than i would need for what i want?

well, it will provide you with ToxicOS which basicly is HDLoader with slightly better compatibility

dont think it will only the pro version can have toxicos. dms4 se lite is about the same as the MI and Crystal but i personally would go for it as the origonal dms 4's had a lot of problems (probly fixed in the se though)

i just need to see if i can find somewhere int he uk that sells them
