I sent a PS2 slim SCPH-79001 to a guy that installs modbos 760's, in the first attempt the ps2 would not load all backup games I had that worked ok on a V7 ps2.
So I sent it back to him, disoldered the chip, reinstalled another one, and then NO VIDEO OUTPUT.

This guy killed my ps2 that in order to 'make up' for the damage he gave me another slim a SCPH-75001 with supposedly a chip installed that worked just fine.
Got home, tested it and it does not work

So I'm thinking what could be wrong with my original ps2.
When I power it there are no sounds, on the other ps2 I can hear a sound just like mine when it worked but no output neither.

The amperage on both ps2 vary, my ps2 requires 4.5A versus 5.3A on the 75001, so I don't know if it's just simply an amperage issue where it doesnt give video output.

I dissasembled my ps2 but I didn't found something abnormal, I'm fairly newbie when it comes to soldering, so should I consider both ps2 DEAD??

if the blue button does not light, its blown ps11, betchya, if they both light up, its likely something bridged on the bios chip. I have fixed lots of these (cause in the early days of the days I modded, I managed EVERY possible way to screw up a ps2, and had to learn how to fix it), but I wont even tell you to do that, its brutal, and requires straight up balls to do right. You have to DROWN ALL the legs on the chip in molten solder, then solder soaker (de-soldering braid) it all up at once, and FAST so you dont burn it all up, need a soldering GUN, as opposed to an iron, to insure that any solderballs and bridges behind the legs get sucked up and out.
Its a 50-50 thing, but its better than a black screen, so you have nothing to loose trying. just dont blame me if it fails, this is a hail mary, at best. I will say it worked most of the time I did it.
Tell you what, send me both with chips, as is, I'll strip the lazer out of your v7, stick it in my old v7 (needs lazer) and send you that, as is. It works, chip or not, the board is good, for a v7. I hate the damn things, and scored a v4 no read for $20, last week, so you see what happpened there, right? I have been considering a chip in my new (really old) baby, since this one is a keeper, since it is not a v7 or later, as I said, I hate them. A 35001, cool, those ALL came in a big, red, bundle-box set with a steering wheel, and GT3, new. Last of the v4's. Keeper. And now reflashed for an R lazer, its what I had. Its been a while since I liked my console. Toss your mc card in, I fmcboot it for you and send it back with, maybe you wont want a chip so bad anymore, anyway. you pay send, I pay return, it'll be quick enough, deal?
A toxic agent on a dangerous mission so secret, even I don't know what it is, because if I did, I would have to kill myself. I don't even know who's side I am on.
