I got a PS2 to repair by changing the LA chip and the laser.

The LA replacement is the one on the orange flexible PCB, while the laser is a HD7 (which was supposed to be brand new but wasn't, thanks D1v1n30 ).

After that, I re assembled it for testing, and no drive spin... I checked the soldering points for shorts and the fuses, nothing to both. I also measured the coils before replacing, they were fine (4.4 and 4.2), and still are. And no solder straps on the lens (as I said, this one was not new...)

I'm running out of ideas. Before the replacing, the drive was spinning (of course it did not read anything back then :P)
