no power to ps2 (no-solder chip cause)

my friend's dog kicked over the ps2 and it dislodged the chip (while it was running) a day later, the ps2 wont power on at all. does anybody know what the cause of this is? and if possible, how to fix? i used the search function and unfortunately, there was nothing on how to fix this problem. i tried replacing the mobo with another mobo that worked but no fan (or fan connector) but that one does not power up to blue/green light)

if anybody can give me some answers i would be greatly appreciated. this ps2 is gonna be sold in 2 days and i would like to prevent that if possible.

The pwoer wire that is going to the mainboard is not plugged in enough, please go and put it in until it clicks if this dueesnt work then there's something worng with your PS2 but I konw this problem;)

im 100% sure that the power wires are connected to the mainboard perfectly. i think this is a blown fuse but id like to know a way to bridge 2 points to fix this problem.

open her up and check the power supply fuse, if thats still good you might have a surface mount fuse thats blown. Check the Faqs & guides forum for diagrams. Also never bridge a connection where a fuse used to be. Those fuses are there to prevent serious damage to the ps2.

i have already done that, the power supply fuse is just fine. i installed another power supply just in case that was the problem and on another mobo, the same power supply worked (but that mobo had no fan so it didnt go to green light :(

so how would i bridge a connection for a blown fuse at all? without power to that fuse the ps2 is dead

you have a blown fuse somewhere on the mobo.. or your reset/eject ribbon cable is damaged.

im sure the reset/eject ribbon cable is fine. but what if the problem lies somewhere on the mobo? how would i replace those fuses in the first place? i dont think any local radio shack would sell the fuses i need for the ps2 mobo.

What version PS2 is it?? maybe you checked wrong!!!!!

Maybe your Mainboard is dead, becuase the dog kicked the PS2 goodbye!!! Your friend maybe has to pay, or his dog, LOL!!!!!
