no fan on v8 after installed matrix mxl2

hi i installed the matrix dns-1009 chip to my v8 i installed the bios to the bottom of the board put everything back together tested it and everthing worked fine first time then i thought to myself this ps2 really sounds quiet i thought i might have the new fan which is found in the v9 but that was not to be my fan was not working i checked all fuses and all are ok i even put the fan in another ps2 and it worked can it be another problem on the board or is it the matrix dns-1009 can anyone help please???? cheers

Maybe you have make a short with metal chase.
try to take power from this points
