no display

i have a v4 ps2 with messiah i was changing it's laser after i turned it on there is no display the green light is on & the cd tray won't eject is it a fuse or the m/b is freid can any one help me please:(

Maybe the laser go against the metal shield.
Something is grounded and should not be.

i opened & checked every thing still nothing

U removed the anti-static straps on the laser?

yes the guy who gae me the removed them & it was working well the suddenly this happened

U mean the PS2 was closed and working and u got a sudden black screen?

U may want to check ur reset ribbon (although I doubt it would be that) and the BA chip.
As I said b4, maybe it's a grounded component or a solder ball.
Try also to reseat all cables if u didn't do so.
I don't recall trying this, but u could also disconnect the dvd drive and see if u got display like that to isolate the problem.

i just opened the ps2 again found the ba5815fm ic is blown with the fuse on the other side i replaced the fuse but i have to find the ba5815fm ic thanx nightmare ur help is appreciated

I ma beating the laser is no seated properly, Try putting the ribbon back in it. I know of ps2's not booting due to the laser ribbon being only partcially in.
