No Boot With Messiah 2 Pro Installed!!

I had just installed a Messiah 2 chips onto a V5 console.
Reset light turn green but eject light not on, fan spining.
I removed the Messiah 2 '3.3v' wire and everything ok.
It powered up with all lights on and able to boot original
PS2 DVD & blue CD.
Is the chip dead?

Fault install.
Check reset cable for incorect position

Had check the reset cable, correct position. Rest of the points
are all correct.
Once I connected back the 3.3V wire, it only powered up with
reset green light on, no ejet light, fan spining & no screen display.
No solder bridge or solder ball, and the consle work normal
after disconnecting the 3.3v wire.

bad modchip or it need to some correction on pcb !

PCB fixed for this modchip. Think should be a bad chip.

For my case, it shouldn't be any solder bridge or solder ball
cos console still working after I disconnected the 3.3v wire.

Sounds like a mis-wire to me. Wrong wires in wrong places causing wrong things to happen. I doubt a bad chip.

Thanks for the replies & help by all of you here.
Anyway, the mod work after I done the following steps.
The very 1st time after I installed everything including
the colour fixed, the console only power up with reset
green light, no eject light, fan spining, no display.
After that I disconnected the SCEX, 3.3v & colour fixed,
the console boot up normally with original PS2 DVD & CD.
villasg stated that might be the reset cable fault install
but is was correct after I checked.
But I still disconnected the reset wire and reconnected
back the 3.3v wire. Console boot up with original DVD & CD.
I started to reconnect back the reset & SCEX wire one
by one, and to my suprise, the modchip work & the console
able to boot up backup PS2 DVD & CD.
Haven't connect back the colour fix at this point.
What a strange problem!!!!
It had given my 2 night of not sleeping well.

I am having the same issue here. Except my chip worked for about 1 month before I started to have issues like the console only power up with reset green light, no eject light, fan spining, no display.

There is no blue eject light.. how odd. Now I tried to play a DVD+RW backup movie (that was working earlier) but no idea what the deal is now.

Has anyone else seen this problem???

I got another problem with the same console at another thread,
but it was all solved and returning the console to the owner.
