Sure - borrow it.
v1.32 will support the HDD.
WTF - "sure - borrow it" huh??
was that an answer? seems I am not up with the latest lingo...
when is the V1.32 expected to be released?? is that going to come out instead of the V.1.31 when you finally get a hold of the standard ACTEL chips? or is it going to exist in parralel for a higher price?
Someone has deleted a post by Keyscoob to which my reply referred.
On the v1.32, what the HDD does to the PS2 program has been analysed and the adjustments have been planned. Resources are currently concentrated on v1.31 production.
jeezes,
I sure would appreciate the upgrade feature on a messiah 2!!
Now you have the first chip that's V9 compatible, once installed, people want to add a hard disk to their system they need to throw the 1.31 in the bin and then purchase a 1.32 when this one will be available.
So I have the same question as ShadowKnyght, when is this one going to be released?
Maybe the dms crew hasn?t released their V3 for first but I am shore that this one will have all the features it should have ?..even hard disk compatibility, and let?s not forget the for me all important upgrade feature.

If I knew the answer for the HDD date I'd give it to you - as you get everything from me straight. The problem has been analysed and the solution identified. Just the work isn't scheduled as there is production to focus on. The ProAsics are programmed after the pcb is assembled and that is the current priority. It's not as if there are hoardes of people involved in Messiah 2.
The man is under pressure from me and he does eventually yield to pressure. As a hostage to fortune, I'd say a couple of weeks.
In relation to your DMS3 point, the DMS3 is a fine, feature rich chip that has the advantage (for a fair price, I'd say) over Messiah 2 in terms of added features. The upcoming Messiah 2+ product will provide an interface for features to be added.
Make sure you make the m2 1.32 18000 unit compatible so you can support all consoles.
And with the MULTIREGION FEATURE!!!

I went into my local HMV today and there was the 50003 SS for sale at just £149.99 (c. $240).Originally posted by Labomba

So now I have a PAL v9 and I can thoroughly check out the minor DVD-R issues that have been reported from Australia. They will need fixing and that will occur in v1.32 alongside HDD support..
To be honest, I did notice a slight tendency on the Jap v9 (the one with the HDD) that I had for it not to boot DVD-R first time, but I put that down to the laser which failed completely to boot anything DVD related.

mmmmmm...do i sense some hostility
Let us not forget that the M2 mod was the first kick ass no swap mod out there.
Adding the upgrade feature would make the M2 the perfect competitor for the DMS3, which results in better prices and if we are lucky and the M2 crew adds some nice extra features then it would make it all complete.
But for now i must say that the DMS3 has the most and best features for it's price...
