No Audio Cd After Magic 3.1 Installation

I have installed the Magic 3.1 ( with the shortest wires as
possible and good ground and 5v) .
It works OK for all PS1 and PS2 games and DVD movies but not for AUDIO CDs(originals or CDRs).
The disc is recognized and also the numbers of audio tracks but if want to play one of them, i only hear the first second of music and then it loops forever. I have then
to reset the PS2.
I could listen to audio CDs before i installed the chip.
Have you already heard about this kind of problem ?

dont you need to put it in sleep mode or something?

boot from standby, hold reset for around 6 seconds, and it should play fine.
