Newbie: Pal games on NTSC v7 Magic V Any new info?

Hello, I have been searching and reading these forums since the last 2 days and am now confused more than ever. The info I found is over a year ago and I don't know if it is till valid.

I recently modded my first ever PS2 v7 NTSC with a Magic V hoping it can play PAL games as well. It does play backups and all others now but for my 30+ pal games, I get b&w bouncing/scrolling/jumping screen.

I can do the colorfix but per old post from charlie_ps2 this is not required in v7 onwards. So do I still need to do this?

What else can I do to play PAL games?

Will ADR patcher still work? If so, is there a newer version. I downloaded ver 0.5. Will this work with DVD & CD games? How do I use this?

Is there any other method in use today that will allow me to play these games?

yes you still need ot do the color fix. or if you use adr patcher you wont need to.
