New v7 boards around for PS2

read this in another forum . Is real ??????
<<<Well, it would appear a new version bios has turned up in some v7's. This appears to be incompatible with the current range of non-swap mods, including magic 3's, snipers, messiah 2's, etc.....

I guess it is time for upgrades to all of these shortly.....

So far, there is no word on how to identify these different versions from outside or inside. More when we have it.

These have supposedly been seen around europe, but I think they are pretty scarce currently. >>>

Hello.
I think the only method to identify this version,is through the Bios number,and motherboard number.
I think this version is G-019 or GH-022 MB number,and the bios is :
2002 SCEI
D 221 060 S48
B20080 2275M08
I think this is the "new" V7.1,but I only can say that messiah2 does'nt work with this version.
I'm searching for information about this version.

any news about whether or not this "7.1" version has hit the US market yet, or whether or not this claim is legitimate? I just bought a SCPH-39001 and it would totally suck to know that my ps2 is an incompatible version with my Magic 3.1 chip.

We have just Messiah 2 chipped the very same GH-022 with BIOS
2002 SCEI
D 221 060 S48
B20080 2275M08

and it works.

probably not, but in either case, isnt a SCPH-39001 on of the oldest V7s?

Possibly,I made a mistake during the installation.(no one is perfect !!)
Now,I have to think that V7.1 version doesn't exist,at the moment.

those bios ain't new.
the new bios is as follows.

D - 080
B - 090

Sounds like they had the same ver7 as me then... Which hDL had to point out was a miss install!
