NEW: Modbo 745/760/520/530 CAN BE CONFIGURED!!!

Two days ago i got 5 pcs sample of modbo 520 and 5 pcs of modbo 745.

the modbo 745/760 are for v1-v16 and the modbo 520/530 are for v1-v13.

I've installed this chips on V3 PAL, v4 NTSC, v5 PAL, v13 PAL, v14 PAL and here are my results:

on the V3 PAL, no sccess with both the 520 and the 745, i've been told that it's works on V3 NTSC but didn't had console to test it on!!

installed 520 on V4 PAL, working VERY GOOD!
installed 745 on v5 PAL, working VERY GOOD!
installed 520 on v13 PAL, working VERY GOOD!
installed 745 on v14 PAL, working VERY GOOD!!

tested all media types PS2 CDR, PS2 RIPS, PS2 DVD-/+R (didn't had DL to test but it's sould work fine!)

also tested ps1 games on all of those versions, and worked just fine without any problems.

and now for the treat

configuration settings 100% works!!!!!!

you can change the chip settings , save it, shutdown console and works fine WITH THE NEW SETTINGS after booting!!!

I played with the color settings (from ntsc to pal and back) also played with the Y fix, and it worked perfectly

the 760 and 530 version are just a low count wires version of 745 and 530. thay have a spacial shape that you can fit directly on the bios pads to solder without wires.

Why did they release so many different models of chips? I looked at the website and the 760 has less wire and is more compatable. Why not just release the 760, it appears to be the best out of the batch. Also is the price that much of a difference between the 4 chips that it requires so many models?

one reason is that not evryone likes the wireless bits. i am not very good when it comes to bridging from the chips to difrent parts but when it comes to wires i never seem to fail

Don't know about the firmware upgrade. need to ask the guy from modbo team.

very interesting. If u can save the settings then maybe it can upgraded. Doubt it though.

GT4 Rip working? Ps1 multigame (2 game in the 1 disk) disk ok? What firmware version modbo have?

it also states on the site that the chips support DEV2???

can any1 confirm this... would be a good deal if it has a real DEV2 feature.... now only the VGA is missing and we would have a new killer chip

Great for Chip for a clone if it will work. Installed a Modbo 2.1 on V9 NTSC and it wuld not work removed chip and installed Real MI and woked fine. PAL installers have confermed it dose work in Pal consoles. Any word if thay have tested in USA NTSC systems and not just asia NTSC?
