I just had my ps2 modded with a chip called Ripper or Sniper.
The problem is that the image is green using a RGB cable.
The image is normal using the standard cable but that means the image turns black and white for NTSC games.
Any ideas anyone??

Usually it's just DVD-Video playback.
Does your TV support RGB?
There is a RGB-fix for all consoles except V7, it will take care of the green screen, at least during DVD-Video playback.
btw, the ripper/sniper isnt new
its been around for a while, but it hasnt gotten very much attention since its pal only.
Yep image is green the moment I turn it on.
And I'm certain my TV supports NTSC.
I thought the Sniper was new since it's very hard to find any
info on it. By PAL only you mean it can be used on PAL PS2's only?? Can you tell what else you have heard, is the chip any good??
yeah, it is basically a messiah 1, but the messiah 1 doesnt support pal v7, so 'whoever' made the ripper/sniper to accomodate for pal v7.
it is a very good chip from what i heard, maybe Stargate can comment furthur.
damn people are naming chips after me now and shit![]()
