Network Play

Hello, My GF just bought me a 550000GT, the pritty looking white PS2 with GT4 demo, she's having it imported from Japan (She's Japanese) I already ordered a DMS3 v9-10 for it, they should get here about the same time.

My question is, how does it effect network play? Will I be playing on Japanese servers because its a japanese console? Or are servers determined by games? ie US games have US servers, Japanese games have japanese servers? Will I also have to import a network addapter or can I use a US network addapter? Can I play online with a Modded PS2? or will they detect me and will I be banned? Thanx in advance for your help.

Well, DMS3 can let you turn the chip off so you'd have no problem playing japanese games online because of this, as long as they're original.
Now, you can't play US games online because they're now being integrated with DNAS so the server'd detect that the disc does not match your PS2 region. Meaning, you'd have to find Non-DNAS integrated games to buy.
