    irvgotti Guest
    Hi,

I live in the Netherlands (that´s in Europe ) and there are some rumors about the PAL Network Disc. I´ve heard that the PAL Network Disc won´t boot if you have a mod-chip that can´t be turned off.. Does anyone know if this is true or is it just bullshit..
Does the NTSC Network Disc has this protection ??

    thanx for the reply´s

No protection at all on U/C version.

    Is just a DVD.

Sorry to contredict you Gradius but they are protected. You won't be able to install any drivers unless you turn your chip off.

Sorry to say that, but I installed one just a two days ago and works perfectly.

I booted in PS2 mode with Messiah2 PRO ON (ON!).

All runs perfectly, without any problem.

The same goes for DVD driver CD (v2.12U), I can install the driver to memory perfectly, same with Messiah2 PRO ON (ON!).

I couldn't boot it with magic 3.1 apparently you boot it in psx mode.

I could install the drivers using SOCOM anyway.

Well Gradius, you must be doing something special because nobody was able to install any driver with the chip on. Do a search on the board and you will see.

Mine works with a chip. I have a Magic 3.1 and never had any kind of problem installing the network.
