Hey guys. I have a US network adaptor that I use on my V7 PAL PS2 with an Apple Pro mod. Works great mostly, can play games, use the hdd, whatever. I can even boot that annoying Network Adaptor Startup disc! But, since I'm in Australia, and we have a different dial tone to the US, I cannot get it to connect to my ISP through the modem connection. It just comes up with a "no dial tone" message. I haven't tried ICS yet, I might do that later when I move my PC closer to where the PS2 lives, but I'd like to get the PS2 connected directly anyway. Does anyone know if there is a way around it? I have seen a config file listed somewhere ages ago that let you choose your country as part of the modem settings, but that would mean already having a connection set up and then tinkering with it via PC link. It won't even let me save the connection settings until it successfully connects to it! Any tips, anyone?

If there are any command line where you can enter your own AT command, use that:

    ATX0

    That's all.

Well unfortunately, Sony, in their "wisdom", do not allow any custom settings for the network adaptor other than specifying IP, DNS etc manually... there is no connection string, because they know exactly what to tell their modem, since it is the only one it will work with. I got around to setting up my PC link again so I might have a look at the save and see what I can do with that. Thanks Gradius
