Network Adapter/ AOL DSL
Network Adapter/ AOL DSL –
Does anyone know how to hook up the AOL DSL (broadband blaster) to play with the PS2 network adapter
I'd suggest a Linksys 4-port DSL/Cable Router (about $69-$89 depending where you're located) model BEFSR41. The Linksys router connects via a standard Ethernet cable into your current DSL modem and provides 4 - 10/100 Ethernet switched port connections (auto-sensing), which will allow you to plug in your PC as well as your PS2 to utilize that DSL connection. It also supports NAT translation and DHCP (for your PC, if you don't want to assign a static IP address.) Again, this is a switch and not a shared hub, so Ethernet traffic is optimized for each port connection.
Set up is simple and is done through your PC's web browser. For more details, check out the Linksys web site.
