try using the network adapter in ps1 mode and it will work. Eventhough it is a dvd disk it will boot the network adapter disk in ps1 mode[cdr mode].

All you do is boot it like a regular cdr by holding the reset button. And yes it works because that is how I had to do it. The only thing that won't work are the demo games on the ps2 adapter disk because they are in dvd.
