I have a homebrew NeoKey and since a few weeks my PS2 is starting to read the discs less and less good... Originals work, DVD originals work, DVD movies work, PS2 backups work, but i'll have to tray out - tray in for like 10 times to let them boot! I'm getting sick of this and i wanna know what's the problem...
could it be a bad wire? could the lens be dirty? do i need to adjust the laser? or is the lens just getting ****ed up by the chip/backups?
I checked the chip, it looks all ok... I didn't open up my PS2 yet...
i really wanna know what the problem is because i don't want to see my PS2 or the laser dying really...
and everything worked perfectly fine before (almost 100% booting success at once...)
