do not work with the neo 2.2 chip he distroy your motherboard and laser i know it did happend with my ps2 and you can ask other people as well they will say the same so do not put in the neo2.2 chip it will cost you a lot of money
I beg to differ....I have had a Neo 2 installed in my system since it was introduced and have experienced no adverse affects. Perhaps your installation was inferior.
I was wondering how many of you have a neo 2.2 installed and the ps2 is still working? Mine only worked for 5 months till the laser went kaput. Also how long have you been using this setup together?
Thanks
i have it in my ps2 for almost a year and than it distroyd my laser and motherboard and that did not only with my ps2 there are more people that have the same problem so tel me wat you have done that your ps2 did not distroyd by the neo2.2 chip
Ive got a neo2.2 in my Pal PS2 and am experiencing no probs at all.. Also a few of my mates have the same setup since the chip was launched! And they thrash their PS2s and they are still going strong![]()
I don't think the neo 2.2 can damage the motherboard ... however I have had a 2.2 and then a 4.1 in mine and the 4.1 finally burnt my laser out ... something about the laser adjustment that is built into it ( so I have read ) ... anyways it is now out .. my messiah is waiting .. waiting on the new laser unit ....![]()
