neo 4 problems

i chipped a neo4 on a version 3 approx a year ago.
everything has been ok up until yesterday when it stopped loading backups.
the dvd films and original psx games still load but no ps2 backups
the browser comes on and the laser spins fast but then there is just a black screen nothing else.

i have checked all the wires and they are still intact does anybody
have any soloutions or ideas???

Hello ratus,
Try cleaning the laser eye. If still no luck, then you may need to adjust your laser gain on the CD pot. Your PS2 may have had a good thrashing, hence the laser is no longer up to scratch.
