The only remotely available solderless chip out there these days is the DMS4 (lite/pro) EZI. Which are known to kill PS2's.
Then I guess I'll try a solder one since I wouldn't want to kill it any ideas maybe one so it boot the hd advanced.....
Pretty much you'll want one that has at least DEV1 (boot from memory card) and possibly DEV2 (boot from hdd)
There are a number of reasonably priced ones out there with these features like Duo3 Ultra, modbo 745, modbo 4.0, Crystal-Chip, Matrix Infinity.
There is one other option that is a no solder and won't kill which is buy the Memor32 memory card and installing the Memento firmware on it. then the MC basicly becomes a plug in mod chip.
What about trying a memory card exploit? Use your friends PS2 (You mentioned in another thread) to make the exploited card with a ps1 trigger disc, then use ulaunch to put the hda/HDL on the hard drive. (Assuming your system still reads normal discs.) In the swap mod section I put up a tutorial that might help you through.
thank you because that boot disc had all those tools that are mentioned in this forum but on one disc never thought of using his for exploit nice work thx...
one more thing what kind of USB flash drive should I use or atleast size requirement that's about it...
