ok so i've had my ps2 since about launch, which means i have a v1. And to add to that i have a mod chip that uses gameshark. What i want to do is find a dvd-mod chip that installers will actually install. I went around asking for ppl to install a magic 3.1 or messiah and they all said no due to the difficulty of the new chip being installed on a v1. So...are there ne dvd chips that are easy to install...im sick of these dam CD-rips!!!

I am sure you could find someone to install a chip in your version of the PS2. The V1 has a weaker laser and would probably need to be replaced too. So you can expect to pay a little more for that labor as well. If you post in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum, I bet you could find someone local to you. Buy/Sell/Trade
