Need help with my modded PS2

I've had my v7 PS2 for about 2 years now, and have had the modchip (Magic 3.1) installed for about a year.

Lately, I'm having some big problems.

Original DVD games work.
PS2 DVD-rips work (most of the time).
Original PS1 games work.
PS2 DVD-R do NOT work. (Used to)
PS2 DVD+R do NOT work (Used to)
PS2 DVD-RW does not even spin up (used to work perfectly)
DVD movies work.
I am getting a DVDR movie to try so I can test that. I will burn it on DVD+R.

Anyone have any idea what could be wrong? It just suddenly stopped working one day. I tried the laser white cog adjustment (I think I did it right) and really got no good results.

Maybe the laser finally got too worn out.

i had the same problems was my lens so just got a new ps2 today and wacked a dms+ in her

Try cleaning the laser, top (easy) and bottom lens (hard to do). Also try the laser tweaking guide to see if you can get anymore life out of your laser.
