Super newbie here's asking newbie question, so please help if you're an oldbie. I'm planning to install a DMS3 modchip but I have very little experience in this "soldering stuff". The only soldering I have done is adding a switch to my PAL Saturn to switch between 50/60Hz for PAL games and fixing my keyboard by shortening/soldering the wires.

    1. Can someone here post a link to a step by step tutorial on how to disassemble my PS2 the proper way.
    2. How do I know what version my PS2 is?
    3. My PS2's vibration function isn't working, it's not the controller
that's broken as I have 3 other controllers and all of them doesn't
vibrate. Can someone here post a link/website on how to fix it?

I could just send it to some expert and pay him to do the
fixing&installation but I really want to learn how to do it myself
because about a year ago I paid someone to install a Messiah 2, but he lied too much and installed a Magic 3 instead. Because of the Magic3, my PS2 freezes often and he said it's the lens' problem and wanted about USD100 to fix it by exchanging it with a new lens. Now I hear the 50000 PS2 series will self-destruct if it's install with a modchip. So if I paid someone else to do the job... afraid they might swap my 30004R
motherboard with the new 50000 model.

Well you could either do it yourself, who has zero experience in ps2 modification or you could ship it out to a pro like Loy or myself. After modding 300 machines you get kinda goo

Install it at your own risk mate, i wouldnt recommend it unless you are a very experienced solder like myself, cos things go wrong, ive seen it all 2 often.
