Hey, I just got a v12 Slimline as a gift, and I wanted to mod it to play backup games and backup Japanese games. What kind of chip is the best to buy? Thanks for the help = )

I think so. I've never modded a gaming system before, so I don't know too much about harddisks and stuff, and what their usefulness would be. I'd just like to play my backups and import backups w/o having too much hassle like swapping boot cd's and so on.

What are hard disks for anyways? I know how they work for the Xbox but I haven't seen it too much w/ a PS2.

People mainly use hard disks to put games on and run off there instead of off the CD/DVD.
