    Help! I burned a resistor when i was modding a v3 pal ps2 with a infinitySE!

    It got so overheatet it disattached to the board, when i measured it with a multimeter there was infinite resistance through it!
    Can someone tell me the value of this resistor? Would be rather nicer to replace it than to throw away a $150 console...:P

    Im pretty sure that its a capacitor and not a resistor. so THe infinite resistance reading may be correct. on the other hand it may be burned out too.

    thanx, i didn't think about that, but still: The reason why I thought it was a resistor was because I mesured some simulair parts (same color) on the board and they all mesured a fixed resistance...

    I hope someone here watching this thread got a v3 ps2 to mod and measure it
