I have V7 ps2 with DMS3 V2
my ps2 doesnt seem to want to go into devolution mode...i just installed the dms explorer...now all i have to do is when booting the ps2, press triangle, and it should go strait into dms explorer, right?...do i need to have dms explorer disc in the drive while doing this?
and also When i try and upgrade to 1.8...its asks me to press X to flash to 1.8 and then it says programming do not turn ps2 off...but seems to freeze there...any1 else had this problem?

OK, take your explorer install disk boot it you will see explorer 1.0 installing and when done brower on top left of screen. Now it is install to mem card and if you want to make sure look at mem card you will see curropt data thats explorer 1.0. Now if u boot with triangle u will see brower on top left of screen. To install ps2reality or any homebrew to mem card just
1eject- open tray
2insert cd-r with ps2reality w install script
3eject close tray
4 push select and it will say installing ps2reality 1.50
5after installing it will say brower on top and ps2reality just under the word brower
To operate browser w installed programs
1 boot ps2 with triangle
2push eject open tray and put your divx, mp3,jpeg disk in
4.eject close tray
5use arrow keys to move thru browser to select ps2reality or other program that are installed on mem card
6hit X or select
Trouble shooting:
make sure u extracted download before burning image
burnatonce is a good program load .cue
make sure u format new mem cards, and have at least 560k memory on used cards to install
If you push x or select with the explorer install cd-r in it will try installing again
remember when installing ps2reality to boot triangle if you boot into ps2 mode you cannot install to mem card but you can use ps2reality on cd rom by swaping cd-r's boot istall cd-r using triangle when brower hit select
boot update in ps2 mode, gave me the warning not to turn off ps2, then confirmation of firmware 1.8 and then told me to reboot.
i already installed dms explorer...that worked fine...but when i try booting with triangle, it doesnt go into explorer...its just the regular screen, i can goto browser and system config...the update...leven if i leave it for hours, it will still say : flashing, do not turn ps2 off
