need advice. newer games won't boot.

i bought a 39006 console modded with a messiah 2/magic it works fine for 2 years but now i've no chance of booting games that are new. I tried Naruto 3 and DBZ3:Budokai Tenkaichi and none of it work! So i returned the game in which i bought from 2 different pirated sellers and they swapped new ones for me, and again none of them work. One of the seller told me that i'd have to change my modchip since future release discs around the area are only playable with the slimline ps2 console. H0w true is this?

btw,I dont know what my modchip is, after skimming the net i've found the closest relevance of my modchip is either a messiah or a magic.(It boots ps1 games by holding the power button for 3-4 secs, ps2 games it'll boot automatically.)

so far theres no problems with any older games.all of it worked, until dbz3:tenkaichi came out.

I really wanted to play budokai tenkaichi, pls advice and help.

sounds like u need a new updated chip. check out my link ill hook u up. PS all games play on any version system as long as u have the right chip
