need Advice from magic 2 clip and diagrams

I order a magic 2 clip for v7 US

but the problem is they gave me short wires which i have to mount the chip somewhere else where i didnt plan too

i was gonna use this diagram http://www.gamegizmo.com/pics_files/matrix7.jpg just for the 3.3v and 5v gnd lines...which needs a short wire

but i was wondering if i can use a longer one for that....because the place i have to mount is near the bios....

so....would a longer wire for the 3.3v and 5v gnd work

i dont wanna use the china-magic diagram, because the via points are too risky

I don't know about those alt points from that diagram man....I checked with a multimeter and those aren't even right...so I don't know what they were smoking when they drew up that picture.

Look at charlies guide in faqs section for v7. It doesn't have any vias.
