Ok, im using a neokey till like 2 weeks ago my ps2 booted up ps1 cd-rs fine in an instant

Like i would put the game in then turn on my neokey and bam it loads

Now it always says plz insert a ps1 or ps2 format disc and goes to the red screen

I try a whole bunch of times

then when i take the neokey outta the USB port and plug it back in it boots perfectly like i said at the begining but i alwayz have to remove the neokey and put it back

I just opened up my ps2 and checked the 2 soldering joints and tugged at it and everything so the wireing is not the problem

Wat is the problem then can someone plz help me??
    Thanx

Just a thought but have you checked the status of your media? Some people I know still play their extremely old PS1 that would sometimes boot while other times not at all.. but when you drop it into a pc and check it for errors it would be full of them.. sometimes recopying will fix the problem other times it won't but give it a shot.

Simple ... Your PS2 USB port got oxided. So the Neokey can't inject the signal properly.
Pull it out and clean both connectors (the PS2 one and the Neokey one)
That should solve your problem ....
